Today was the 2nd annual Amish Country cookbook extravaganza in Berlin, Ohio. Amish country cookbooks by various authors and organizations are on display but the most fun part of this event is tasting all of the sample goodies that are available, which are made from recipes in the cookbooks. Among the goodies I tasted were Amish peanut butter spread, Apple Butter Bars made with Mrs. Miller’s Apple Butter, Shagbark hickory syrup, Butter Finger cheeseball, Italian Sausage with Tortellini soup, Peaches and Cream coffee cake, Peach Salsa, and my personal favorite Final Exam brownies. Yummmmmmmm! This year Sherry Gore came all the way from Sarasota, Florida to display her cookbook, “A Taste of Pinecraft”.
